Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari

Released in 1921, Robert Weine's silent era classic is considered by many to remain cinema's greatest horror/thriller of all time. With spectacular set-design and the groundbreaking tinting, graphics and text effects, Caligari has influenced generations of filmmakers from Hitchcock to Spielberg.

It is the story of a traveling magician and a sleepwalker. A perfect example of the German Expressionist period, and for all intents and purposes, the original zombie movie.

For  those  of  you  who are unfamiliar with this highly influencial masterpiece, here it is in it's entirety!

Enjoy!

This is a great film. One of the cornerstones of modern horror. Thanks for bringing some attention to it.
